- Find a spot where it's okay to dig a few holes.
- Dig four holes. Each one should be wide enough and deep enough to put something in.
- Put the apple core in one hole, the lettuce in the next, the
- Styrofoam "peanuts" in another, and the plastic cup in the fourth hole.
- Fill the holes back up with dirt.
- Mark the spots where your have buried the four items. Make sure you will be able to find them again.
- Wait a month, then go back and dig them up.
- You will have no trouble finding the Styrofoam peanuts and plastic cup, but the lettuce and maybe the piece of apple will be gone.
